István Nagy returned disappointedly from the African fight

Among the finishers of Budapest – Bamako rally, 2010 more teams fulfilled the 7400 km long distance in cooperation with the assistance partner of „Great African Run”, with Sandlander. In the tenth episode of our series István Nagy, the member of “Component Kft.“ finished on 16th place, remembers to the two weeks long Trans Morocco adventure.

István Nagy told straight, for him the African fight was a big balk.

- Even the start succeeded not so good. Our windscreen cracked, however Sandlander helped us promptly and they could solve the problem quite soon, the fight started with worrying – talked István Nagy. Then it did not improve our mood, when we knew that we would not go to Mauritania and Mali because of the terror threats. So our very expensive equipments became totally useless, further we even did not need to wrap them out. We also did not like the monotone European riding. These land rovers are not prepared for driving on motorways, furthermore it was quite boring enter and exit the motorways, since we had to looked for scores. Not to speak about that we put plenty of goods to the truck carried the benefaction and till now nobody informed us if the indigents got it or not. We read in the newspaper that the truck reached its destination.

The racers also tried to think on the nice things.

- It belongs to the truth that the first days in Morocco were beautiful, we got to amazing landscapes – continued Nagy. Our car was perfect, so the experts of Sandlander did outstanding job, the car stood out the difficulties without any serious problem. So we had also nice remembrances, but now it does not worth to speak about the continuity in the next year. I think the organisers have to find out something new for getting a stronger field. Now it is sure if the destination will be again Morocco in 2011, we will not start.
